I remember discovering Custo Barcelona and being enamored by its wild colors, daring prints and a style that wasn’t afraid to take the unthinkable fashion forward step into a stylish adventure. On a trip through the South of France, I popped into a boutique in Nice that was filled with shoppers clearing the rack faster than you can say “where is the sale.” Sadly, there was no sale that day but the trends were racing high and dresses were being tried on and bought faster than a shopaholic novels course through the mall.
At that moment I remember thinking how bright and cheerful the dresses were. How they sparked a bit of enthusiasm and connected with a stylish tendency to push the fashion limits just enough to still be considered glamorously girly. Custo Barcelona has consistently held the momentum of its signature style, and this season is no exception. Rest assured, the ready to wear collection is as festive as ever, a bold palette of plaids, pinks, bejeweled ornate jackets, and retro plastic glasses that gave the models a look that’s runway apropos. One thing about the runway is that, unless a couture gown is elegantly floating down the runway with the most gorgeous evening makeup and stunning hair you could possibly imagine, you typically don’t want to recreate it exactly. Because the runway is a place where looks are exaggerated and push the limits to get noticed in a way that create conversation. When pulling looks from a ready to wear show like Custo Barcelona it’s all about the vibe, but the outfits you can mix, match and definitely pull out pieces that you can see yourself wearing.
The mix of patterns looked fantastic and I loved the daring white tights with faux furs and landscape of style accented with flair and love for excitement. Custo Barcelona Fall 2016 ready to wear collection was fabulously Custo signature style; the brand’s collection effortlessly lit up the runway with enthusiasm and charm.
