MAC Heirloom Mix Gift Guide Because Our Holiday 2014 Gifts Should Sparkle

Last week MAC Heirloom Mix Celebrated their launch at The Grove in West Hollywood – with spectacular performances, makeup tutorials and makeovers by professional MAC artists. An amazing turn out, the crowd was pumped and girls were shown how to customize their looks to sparkle the 2014 holiday season.

The exciting thing about beauty is that even if you think you’re an expert, just like cooking there is always something new to be learned. Someone who’s willing to share an extra tip that will enhance what you already know, was the treat attendees received from trained makeup artists. Sharing is caring and it goes round and round as I was excited to attend an additional private event MAC Cosmetics hosted as well. Here, I got to reconnect with Senior MAC Cosmetics Makeup Artist, Tiffany Johnston. I’d met her backstage this past September during New York Fashion Week at Noon By Noor, as we chatted about the look she created for the show.

It was so nice to reconnect right before holiday season, catch up and talk about what’s trending, new and hot this holiday season. We sat down over delicious bites, inclusive of cannolis and fruit tarts and began talking about MAC’s anticipated Heirloom Mix Collection launch, specifically the Keepsakes Smoky Face Pallette.

I will go through what I learned with you to not only share but bridge a beauty experience for the festivities to come!

First take the cream color base and just lightly tap on the outer edges of your eye, as if you’re applying eye cream but take it out a little more.
Next take the Iridescent Powder and actually brush it on the cheeks for a gorgeous highlight glow. It could actually function as a base blush – right before dabbing a little color on the apples of your cheeks.
The three smoky eye-shadows are perfect for creating a smoky eye.
And the lipstick selection gives you a glam evening red or a nude daytime look. Want a little more color for day? Just apply the nude and dab a little red in it.
