Who’s the first to know the hottest best kept beauty secrets right from the runway? You are, and Fashion Week is only a couple weeks away as I’ll be on location in New York City bringing you the hottest best kept secrets straight from the runway. That’s right, I’ll be backstage getting all the must have MAC Cosmetics beauty trends, tutorials, exclusive makeup artist chat, because makeup and beauty is meant to bring out the most radiant version of yourself.
Because our beauty was meant to shine from the inside out, we are able to capture the essence of change, fun and implement suggestions through technique and application strategy. So to kick off the excitement of a new season of beauty discovery, I’ve put together an exclusive Pre Fashion Week MAC Cosmetics Autumn/Winter Trend Guide! Knowing that trends and technique usually coincides to transform your smile into a confidence that’s meant to individualize your most productive self; we begin to pull towards a natural beauty to showcase the real person that you are!
I think that the “real” is both fascinating and luminous because the glam is always vavoom in such a gorgeous way. But the real usually brings about a “wow” she’s so pretty, so glowy, dewy, while luminously appealing in a light we can all relate too: natural. It only makes sense that “natural” speaks to so many of us, after all when we wake up in the morning and look at ourselves in the mirror it’s the first reflection we see.
We’re comfortable with it, and yet we find pleasure in experimenting with all types of looks, and that’s the fun and excitement of makeup. The ability to create, recreate and just look at yourself through so many different lights. We’re not static individuals, we’re dynamically changing our perception of what we believe are the commonalities; it’s only natural, the basis of beauty are continuously redefined and glamify our excitement that much more. Because a world without discovery is a world without beauty!
This past Sunday, I attended a MAC Cosmetics Brunch in Los Angeles with a room full of talented makeup artists that have influenced beauty from the big screen, to print, and of course preparing many for life’s special occasions and beyond. Following the new beauty presentations in store, I asked senior Makeup Artist, John Stapleton a few questions towards finding our absolute must haves this season!
Annette: We’re getting ready for the pre-fashion week but going into Fall 2014, what is the one thing that everyone should get to achieve that glossy look?
John Stapleton: One of my favorite things to do are cream blushes or cream color bases. Because what’s great about those products is that you could use them on multi-layer surfaces, you could use them on the cheeks, eyes, and lips. A cream color base would be great, something kind of like dusk which is sort of a toapy color or pearl….you’d get more creaminess than gloss but it’s controllable and you could wear it in multiple uses.
Annette: I love the cream bases too! What do you think should inspire our makeup decisions this season?
John Stapleton: We did a little of minimalist, I think we could probably look towards their being a little bit more powder. I think we might see a matte look….we’ll get a little more through the center, a bit more perfected, Hollywood glam. Invest in a powder.
Glam, glitz, chat with John Stapleton and makeup to be perfected as Fashion Trend Forward Brings Out Your Most Beautiful You Everytime! Stay Tuned For Full MAC Fashion Week Beauty Right Here, Straight From Where it Happens First.
