Backstage NYFW SS15 Georgine with MAC Cosmetics Effortless Glow and Dreams of the Tropics

Georgine Backstage NYFW Models SS15

One wants nothing more when entering fall but to imagine the tropics in arms length. Yes you know fall is upon you, winter is in close proximity following, but the temptation to jump into an azure sea is more than a fantasy. At Georgine it’s the vision behind the beauty, fashion and this seasons Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Welcome aboard the yacht of fancy dreams and gorgeous styling’s. Where makeup is so minimal that you can’t help but glow in your sexy tan.

I’m taking you backstage at Lincoln Center during New York Fashion Week, at the very hot Georgine show, where fashion is inspired by the look of effortless luxury. Backstage beauty by MAC Cosmetics and lead makeup artist Gordon Espinet, envisioned a look of effortless vacation glow to get this dreamy, glowy, and yes glam gorgeous look of Georgine for this Spring 2015 New York Fashion Week season.

Annette: Tell me about the look for Georgine?

Gordon Espinet: We wanted something that seemed effortless. It’s about a beautiful clean skin, but we do have a strong eye going on. The eye is blend of a couple of pencils and an eye gloss.

Annette: The eye gloss is kind of like a cream. I love it.

Gordon Espinet: It’s a really glossy eye. You could almost imagine that she was sort of hot and sweaty with really beautiful skin, slightly bronzed cheek, and then a lip-gloss that’s just a highlight. All the attention is really more on texture with a smoky eye, but a modern smoky eye.

Annette: So in addition to the gloss eye makeup used in this runway look, did you use powder eye shadow as well to mix it up, or just cream?

Gordon Espinet: Initial no, we used some pencils to blend it in but powder and gloss is not so good.

Annette: For our makeup beauties at home, any suggestions?

Gordon Espinet: I would say, you could also get powder shadows MAC Mineralized shadows that can give almost a wet look effect, but will be dry. … But this is a fashion show, we’re on a runway, we want to push it to the next level.

Annette: I love it, and I think that this kind of look with a ball gown is absolutely stunning because it gives that perfect glow to just stand out in beauty. And what color are you using for the bronzer?

Gordon Espinet: Bronzer (we smile & laugh) it depends on the girl. Depending on her skin, we pick a tone that works for her, all mineralized skin finish.

A nude lip, a gorgeous glow and Gordon Espinet for MAC Cosmetics gives the models a runway look that dazzles and glows in stunning waves, beach babes, and effortless days at Georgine SS15 runway fashion show.

Backstage beauty is always fun as we anticipate the actual show, from prep to the runway, get ready because you’re going to absolutely love the collection! More Georgine coming to Fashion Trend Forward, also my total look was a Darling UK Dress and Salvatore Ferragamo wedges in Nude.

Have a beautiful day this is Fashion Week Season!
